Come be a part of "Helping the World Through Animals"
You can be a part of “Helping the World Through Animals”. Come along and join our wonderful group of animal lovers who volunteer a little or a lot of their spare time to our sanctuary’s rescued dogs and puppies.
On any given day you will find these wonderful volunteers in and around our kennel areas holding or walking dogs, talking sweet talk, giving out treats and generally socializing our rescues. A volunteer’s time spent with these magnificent creatures makes a critical difference in their lives and in their chances of finding a “forever home”. Fifteen minutes of your time holding a puppy in your lap or walking a mature dog, will make that animal’s day and put a smile on your face — not to mention the pounds you may shed while taking advantage of our paved dog-walking trail which meanders around and through the woods, flag pole, pet cemetery and the Horse Creek pond, complete with a pretty cascading fountain.
Maybe you would like to spend an adoption event with us. Some of our volunteers come along with us to adoption events and help us to ensure the dogs are comfortable. They make sure the animals always have food and water and take them out of their crates for routine leg stretching. This helps to make a very stressful day easier on the dogs. These folks don’t seem to mind the long hours on their feet, in good and bad weather. They share in the joy when one of our guys or gals finds a great home.
If you are interested in getting involved in this rewarding experience, please complete our Volunteer Interest Statement and sign our Release Form. If you are under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian will need to sign a Youth Release Form. We accept volunteers from age 14 and up. If you are under the age of 16, you will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian at each visit.
Call (731) 926-4008 to schedule an orientation and bring the forms with you to that meeting.
Thank you for your concern about the animals. We appreciate the support of all our volunteers, friends and adoptive parents.
